Day Fifteen - Coming Home

Today we were up early enough to have our last breakfast in the hotel. Our bags had to be ready by 7:30 a.m. Our transfer to the airport was at 8:00 a.m. along with four others from our group.

Once at the Prague airport the checkin process went very smoothly, so we headed to the business class lounge to pass the time sipping mimosas as our flight didn’t leave until 11:30 a.m.

Our transportation from Prague to Phildelphia

The nine and a half hour flight from Prague to Philadelphia went very smoothly and actually didn’t seem all that long. Once we arrived in Philadelphia clearing immigration and customs went quickly and smoothly since we are registered with global reentry. We then had to go through security once more, but also have the TSA pre-check status saved us a lot of time as that line was almost non-existent compared to the non-pre-check line which was very, very long!

We had time for a couple of drinks while waiting to board our 6:15 p.m. flight to St. Louis, arriving at 8:00 p.m. We were met with the driver of the car service we had booked and then waited and waited for our luggage. It always seems to take forever at the St. Louis airport. Of course, of the three checked bags, two of them came out right away, but the third one was almost the last one to appear. So much for priority status.

Since our bodies thought it was 4:00 a.m. the next morning we were starting to drag a bit. It was good to have someone else driving us home where we arrived around 9:00 p.m. bringing to a close one of the most fantastic vacations we have ever experienced.
